I was blessed early on with a passion for the natural world. I was always outside observing, catching, and analyzing. That passion led me to pursue an education in geology and zoology at the University of Florida. After excelling through undergrad, I still felt the need to learn more. I have been accepted into the PhD program for zoology starting in fall 2016 to further my knowledge of the biological realm.

I have been accepted into the PhD program for zoology starting in fall 2016 to further my knowledge of the biological realm.

I love seeing new people get captivated by science, and the joy of understanding things they once thought were very difficult. I was a tutor for my fraternity for all four years of undergrad, and have been a teacher's assistant at the University of Florida for multiple biology classes such as General ecology (PCB 4043C).

This has really sharpened my ability to communicate complicated and abstract information in a way that makes it easy for everyone to comprehend. It has also allowed me to develop a method to figure out what individual students understand the least, why that is, and how we together can overcome that in the most efficient manner.

I have been a part of many scientific research projects, as well as having taken and excelled at the majority of the biological-based courses here at the University of Florida. On top of that, I have been a TA for some of those same classes, which has given me an even deeper understanding of what a professor expects from a student in a specific class.

My availability as a tutor is usually quite flexible, which allows me to work around anyone's schedule to make sure they get the tutoring they need when they want it, rather than tailoring to my schedule. I am not very worried about canceling a tutor session, so dont feel like you have to cancel a specific time before our session. Just contact me when you can to let me know you're unable to make the session. My location is also right at 13th and university, so anywhere on campus can be an ideal location for our tutoring sessions. My base rate is $40/hr, but I am willing to negotiate with people who are unab
