Hi! I’m currently pursuing a PhD in Chemistry and hold a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry with a minor in Mathematics. I graduated with a 3.92 GPA, made the Dean’s List throughout undergrad, and received my department’s Chemistry Major Award for outstanding performance. I tutor math from elementary levels through Calculus III, including Algebra, Geometry, and Trigonometry, as well as introductory chemistry, General Chemistry I and II, Organic Chemistry, Biochemistry, statistics, and physics.

I have several years of tutoring and teaching experience with elementary, high school, and college students. I began tutoring in high school through National Honor Society and also worked with elementary students in math and science. In college, I tutored chemistry, mathematics, and physics in both one-on-one and group settings. I also served as a Teaching Assistant for General Chemistry Laboratory and Calculus I and completed additional training as a study skills coach, helping students with time management, organization, and effective study strategies.

My tutoring approach focuses on understanding rather than memorization. I first identify where a student is getting stuck, then explain the concept and work through an example while emphasizing the reasoning behind each step. We then work through a similar problem together before the student tries one independently. If an explanation is not clicking, I am happy to slow down, try a different approach, review prerequisite material, or provide additional practice. My goal is to help students build confidence and develop the skills to solve problems independently.

currently pursuing a PhD in Chemistry. My background in mathematics through advanced calculus has given me a strong foundation in Algebra I and the higher-level math that builds upon it. I am comfortable tutoring topics including equations and inequalities, functions, graphing, systems of equations, exponents, and polynomials. I focus on identifying where a student is getting stuck, strengthening foundational skills when needed, and helping them understand the reasoning behind each problem-solving method.
Algebra 2

Algebra 2

I earned a minor in Mathematics alongside my bachelor’s degree in Chemistry and am currently pursuing a PhD in Chemistry. My mathematics background extends through advanced calculus, giving me a strong foundation in Algebra II concepts and their applications in higher-level mathematics. I am comfortable tutoring topics including equations and inequalities, functions, polynomials, rational expressions, exponentials, logarithms, and systems of equations. I focus on identifying where a student is getting stuck, strengthening any underlying skills, and helping them understand how and why each problem-solving method works.
Biochemistry

Biochemistry

I earned my bachelor’s degree in Chemistry and completed extensive undergraduate coursework in biology in addition to my chemistry curriculum, and I am currently pursuing a PhD in Chemistry. My academic background has given me a strong foundation in biochemistry, including proteins and amino acids, enzymes, biomolecular structure and function, metabolism, and other core biochemical concepts. My combined chemistry and biology background allows me to help students understand both the chemical principles and biological context behind biochemistry topics. I focus on breaking complex concepts into manageable pieces, identifying where a student is struggling, and helping them develop a deeper understanding rather than relying solely on memorization.
Biology

Biology

I earned my bachelor’s degree in Chemistry and completed extensive undergraduate coursework in biology while working toward a Biology minor, and I am currently pursuing a PhD in Chemistry. My coursework provided me with a strong foundation in core biology topics, including cell biology, molecular biology, biochemistry, anatomy and physiology, and other fundamental biological concepts. My chemistry background also gives me a strong understanding of biology at the molecular and cellular level. I focus on breaking complex topics into manageable pieces, identifying areas of confusion, and adapting my explanations to help each student develop a stronger understanding of the material.
Calculus

Calculus

I earned a minor in Mathematics alongside my bachelor’s degree in Chemistry and am currently pursuing a PhD in Chemistry.
