It taught me how to find the specific place a student got lost, explain the same idea three different ways until one lands, and rebuild the missing pieces in order instead of patching over them. Most students I work with aren't bad at math — they're missing something from an earlier course that makes everything after it feel impossible.
I scored a 34 on the ACT and have taken AP Calculus AB, BC, and Statistics, so I know the content, the question formats, and the timing pressure from the inside rather than from a prep book.
Main focus: Algebra 1 & 2, Geometry, Precalculus, and ACT/SAT math — the courses where most students first hit a wall. I also tutor Trigonometry, Calculus, and Statistics.
For test prep, I start with a short diagnostic to find which question types are costing the most points, then we rebuild those concepts and work on pacing so you're not rushing the last ten questions. For coursework, the goal is the same: understanding why a method works, because that's what holds up when a problem looks unfamiliar.
