I scored a 34 on the ACT and spent three years teaching math at Mathnasium — middle school through high school, one-on-one and small groups. For Florida, that means I've cleared the Bright Futures Academic Scholars cutoff by five points and I know what it takes to get there. I scored a 34 on the ACT and spent three years teaching math at Mathnasium — middle school through high school, one-on-one and small groups. For Florida, that means I've cleared the Bright Futures Academic Scholars cutoff by five points and I know what it takes to get there. Most students I work with are missing something from an earlier course that makes everything after it feel impossible, and my goal would be to find that and work on it with them.
Test prep: I start with a short diagnostic to find which question types are actually costing points, then rebuild those concepts and work on pacing so you're not rushing the last ten questions. I've taken AP Calculus AB, BC, and Statistics, so I know the content, the question formats, and the timing pressure from the inside rather than from a prep book.
Coursework: Algebra 1 & 2, Geometry, Precalculus are my main focus — the courses where most students first struggle with.
Message me with what class you're in and what's giving you trouble, and I'll tell you whether I'm the right fit.
