I am a first generation college student from Argentina. I have been in the United States for 9 years and I am currently a senior at the University of Florida studying Criminology and Psychology under the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. I am the oldest "child" in my family and have always tutored my sister and cousins since a very young age. When I turned 15, I began babysitting and tutoring students in my hometown but took a break when I came to college.
In high school, I also taught a special education class for students with disabilities, which included simple math, science, English, and history. I taught both in group settings in the classroom but also sat down one-on-one with students every day depending on the subject and amount of help needed. I taught this class every day for about an hour and a half depending on my school schedule that day.
Given my knowledge from previous experiences teaching and the past 3 and a half years of being a college student, I can confidently tutor students in elementary, middle, and high school in subjects such as algebra, English and writing, and sciences.
