Hello! I'm Maybelle! I'm a second year UF student and I am majoring in Computer Engineering with a minor in theater and AI. As I've gone through my studies I've learned to appreciate the teachers I've had as they have been fundamental in my growth and knowledge. That is not to say I have had teachers who have been less helpful in my studies and I have had to seek other means to fulfill these gaps left, whether it be because of the teachers teaching style, or because I need a little extra guidance to absorb the topic. I try to bring skills I have learned throughout my life from all of my previous educators and I have many approaches that I try with students to see which one sticks with them, and how they learn best. I personalize my plans based on the students learning style to get the most amount of learning for the least amount of time in the most effective way.
I have had a lot of experience tutoring one on one in the past. Starting from middle school, for three years I tutored elementary students from grades 1st to 5th in both math and reading. After this, I continued tutoring throughout high school, tutoring those from grades 6th- 12th in topics such as Algebra and Calculus. This I did for about 2 years totaling 5 years of experience tutoring. I specialize in math and have a lot of experience of this in my studies, the highest level I reached in each of the studies of math is college-level Calculus 3, Linear Algebra, and Engineering Statistics.
I hope to reach students as much as I can and help them in a way that is meaningful. To me knowledge opens doors to so much in life and I cant wait to be able to share that knowledge with you. I am always open to suggestions and feedback from the students or parents to be able to better benefit who I am working with as much as possible.
