Throughout my Business Calculus class, I struggled badly. Math has always been my hardest subject, and I had never had a tutor before. I was honestly ashamed to ask for help and kept thinking that even if I did, I would still struggle, so what was the point of spending the money. After failing my second midterm, I finally decided to seek support, and that decision truly changed everything. I found Hristina, and from our very first session, I felt a huge weight lifted off my shoulders. I had never felt so confident during a math lesson before. She explained concepts in a way that finally made sense to me and made me feel comfortable asking questions without judgment. From there, the rest was history. Before working with her, I scored a 28% on my first midterm and a 40% on my second midterm. After tutoring with Hristina, I earned a 92% on my third midterm. By the time I took my final, I earned an 87% and raised my overall course grade from a 60% to an 82%, passing the class with a B. This is the highest math grade I’ve ever earned, especially considering my professor is a very strict grader considering that the highest score on the final was an 89%. I genuinely don’t think I would have passed this course without her. Hristina is patient, supportive, and truly cares about her students’ success. If you are struggling with math or feel hesitant about asking for help like I did, I cannot recommend her enough!!!

Knowledgeable and Caring Tutor

Hristina help my child prepare for hist AMC8 math competition. Hristina was patient and encouraging. She gave him homework to work in between session independently. During the sessions she will go over mistakes and and guided him through the difficult topics. He felt that he learned a lot and could not have mastered the test without Hristina's tutoring. when tutoring, I heard when Hristina noticed my son was no 100% sure on something and she stopped and asked him if he truly understood the concept, if not she provided a couple more examples and made sure he got it before moving froward. After tutoring sessions ended, she followed up with us to see how my son was doing. She really cares about her students. She takes time out of tutoring to correct homework and has material prepared to work with the student that challenges them and move them forward.

I am eternally grateful to Hristina. She is highly intuitive in her teaching approach, very well prepared for each lesson, and the results are clear. My son was transferred from remedial geometry with a C to geometry honors, three weeks into the school year. John is now excelling in Geometry Honors earning B+ on the last two quarters. This is a clear result, of Hristina’s ability to teach Mathematics to a student who was not interested and is now engaged with his lessons. The tutoring has transferred to other areas, he has regained confidence in his own abilities, taking responsibility of his schoolwork, and is intrinsically motivated to excel in all he does. This has been an investment in my son. Hristina is an invaluable Math Mentor, she pours her heart into her work. Eternally grateful for Hristina!

Hristina reviewed and explained thoroughly Algebra 1 work given by my child's math teacher. She is patient and repeated concepts until understanding was obtained. Hristina is passionate about math! Hristina is great!! Very helpful and understanding. She breaks down the problems in a way to make it easier to understand. She is patient and always willing to help. I highly recommend her to anyone who is taking College Algebra. I am taking an online class that is accelerated and tend to struggle in math but I feel like I am starting to get it!
