I hold a Ph.D. in musicology (Music History) and have doctoral specialty in General History. I spent 11 years as a Music History professor and ensemble director, and 8 years as History professor teaching Humanities, European and Ancient History, and both World Wars and the Holocaust. I am also certified in 3 subjects in the state of Florida and was a K-12 specialist and National Board Certified Teacher (NBCT) teaching at the PK Yonge Developmental Research School at the University of Florida. The school focuses on the science of instruction and I apply experience and educational research to helping students learn how to learn. From strategies to tactics to success, I love motivating my students and helping them devise a plan for mastery.
I served on University admissions committees for undergraduate and graduate programs and understand the importance of the writing and admissions process. Universities are looking for unique voices.
