Learning a new skill is all about pace. In my experience learning instruments and training in sports, I've found that I learn much faster when I enjoy the subject which I am learning about. As a college student at the University of Florida I have found that there are a lump sum of my peers who wish they learned an instrument in one way or another but were too scared to take lessons due to the fear of losing joy for the hobby. My ways of teaching will include flexibility to the student's wants while still incorporating those foundational skills that are necessary to a comprehensive advancement in the field.

I have played guitar for 7 years now and I started initially with taking lessons. With time I grew fatigued of the routine and I wasn't excited about the process anymore. I self teach myself to this day and I strongly believe there is no one way of learning an instrument or skill. I specialize in teaching beginner guitar. I played basketball my entire life, all the way up until the varsity level at Gainesville High School. I have coached youth teams as well as assisted at fundamental camps. I have experience with ages 7-14; however, I can teach any level of expertise in basketball.

The key to teaching guitar is learning what the student wants to do with the instrument. Many formal guitar tutors want to push their own agenda upon their clients, rather I want to help the student achieve the goals they see for themselves. I have background in playing classic and southern rock, as well as contemporary R&B, blues, pop, and country. I can provide a guitar if the student does not already own one; however, I encourage the purchase of a guitar so the student can practice and play around with it when they choose.

I have played basketball for over 10 years and I have always played undersized. I specialize in the creativity of the game that small players have to acquire. I have worked personally with a well known basketball tutor in Gainesville and I have experience with youth as young as 6 years old.
