On a personal note, Dr. R. is a combat veteran, who receives a disability pension from the Veterans Administration (VA), plus combat-related special compensation (CRSC) from the Department of Defense (DoD).
Not only does Dr. R. counsel disabled combat veterans, who have been diagnosed with posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) - he also teaches these veterans, academically, as these veterans are transitioning from military to civilian life, as these veterans are exploring educational opportunities funded by the Post-911 GI Bill, Vocational Rehabilitation, and the Dependents Educational Assistance (DEA) program.
