Hello!
My name is Chris, and I have formally worked in education for 15 years and tutored since the year 2000. I have helped students of all ages. As an educator, I have taught middle school, high school, and college courses. I was also a college math specialist where I tutored college students as well as trained tutors. Helping students is more than a job. I love when students succeed, and will create individualized plans to help them experience success. My greatest strength is in explaining complicated material in a systematic/step by step fashion. As mentioned, I individualize sessions to include, as necessary, help with current lessons, background knowledge, and study skills. I use different methods in the classroom and tutoring sessions to appeal to various learning styles. The approaches I use include, but are not limited to, real life examples, different visual approaches, and questioning techniques. I like to keep sessions a little lighthearted yet professional. Along with improving your skills, one of my main goals is to instill confidence.
I graduated Cum Laude from the University of Central Florida with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Liberal Studies: Mathematics and Engineering Concentrations. I am currently finishing a Master's degree in Mathematics Education from Liberty University. I am maintaining a 4.0 GPA in my Master's coursework.
My years in education have taught me no two students are alike. I look forward to hear from you to form a plan based on your needs.
