Bio

I am a Certified Math Teacher teaching middle and high school students. Specializing in grades 5-9. I Tutor students privately(One-on-One) and at Mathnasium(a math tutoring learning center).
I have been working with children for 15 years and know that students need to feel comfortable and even have fun while they are learning a new concept as well as receive consistency, optimism and compassion from their mentors. I have been working with children for 15 years and know that students need to feel comfortable and even have fun while they are learning a new concept as well as receive consistency, optimism and compassion from their mentors. I create an atmosphere that provides just that and so therefore students are comfortable and open to making mistakes and learning from them. My students and I have a lot of "Ah - HA" or "OH I get it now" moments which builds their confidence more than ever! They are not afraid to venture into something new or review something they have previously learned. After all, Isn't that what learning is all about?

I work closely with the student AND the family so I am very approachable and reachable anytime! I give homework where I see it is needed as well as work with students on a long term basis.

I have been doing algebra 1 and 2 with lots of students. So, we can work on basic one variable equations, subtracting polynomials or factoring quadratic equations. It will all be fun! Step by step let’s tackle it together! I am very detailed I’m my approach as I have been a teacher and know every student is an individual and learns in their own way.
Elementary Math

Let’s do Math! Fractions, word problems, equations etc.. We work together to work it out. I will assess your child’s learning needs and adjust accordingly. We will have fun and learn at the same time.
Geometry

Geometry

I work one on one with geometry students in a school everyday and tutor in the evenings. I am fun, very patient and work well with high school students. We work together on my very interactive whiteboard together!
Prealgebra

Prealgebra

I tutor middle and high school students in algebra and geometry every week. It’s always something different. Join me!!
