As a Brown University alumni, having received a B.A. in business economics with a 3.8 STEM GPA and 3.72 overall GPA while pursuing the pre-med track, I understand firsthand the requirements of a rigorous academic curriculum. Using this understanding, while working with students in multiple STEM fields, ranging from elementary math to ACT Math to inorganic chemistry, I create a personalized academic plan for each individual student, focusing on their specific needs. Furthermore, I make myself completely accessible to students' questions that may arise before or after a session.
As a beneficiary of test prep myself, while preparing for the ACT, I have hundreds of hours of experience as a student and tutor. This allows me the clarity of academic strategies that are most worthwhile for students looking for the most successful framework to make substantial improvements. On the ACT, this begins with a diagnostic test outlining a student's points of weakness and also their points of strength. I then create a clear lesson plan, forming an actionable step-by-step plan to highlight and overcome the specific difficulties faced by the student.
My area of expertise is in one-on-one personalized tutoring—both in person and virtually. I have helped students at various places in their academic journey. As a co-camp director of a summer math camp for elementary school students, I aided in boosting the kids' confidence and capabilities. As high school students prepared for the math portion of the ACT, I assisted their ability to tackle the most challenging concepts. In addition, I have worked with freshman and sophomore collegiate students in inorganic chemistry struggling to keep up with the intense Ivy League curricula. In my 8th year of tutoring, my vast experience includes students from diverse backgrounds, including tutoring for a college preparatory private school, volunteer tutoring for academically disadvantaged students, and independent tutoring.
