Bio

I have been teaching for over two decades and find educating students to be one of my greatest joys in life. During my decades teaching, I have worked in the K-12 educational system, higher education, and the military and have taught various grades and subjects. I have been teaching for over two decades and find educating students to be one of my greatest joys in life. During my decades teaching, I have worked in the K-12 educational system, higher education, and the military and have taught various grades and subjects. I have a bachelors degree in elementary education and is certified to teach grades K-6. I also am endorsed to teach English to speakers of other languages. I have also earned a master's degree in Reading education and is certified to teach Reading to both children and adult learners. While working in the K-12 system, I became a national board certified teacher as well and earned a certification in ESE and as an Instructional Designer. My greatest joy working with K-12 students and their families is to see the joy of success on their faces.

While working in higher education, I have focused my interest and research in supporting the needs of culturally diverse adult learners. I am very understanding, caring, and supportive of adult learners from various cultural backgrounds and support them with both their academics as well as coach them through navigating life as a college student. I have won numerous awards for outstanding support of students at both levels. Even after my students graduate and are being successful in their respective fields, I still communicate with, and support a large majority of students I have worked with over the years.
