I hold two Bachelors of Science degrees in Mathematics and Physics from Jacksonville University (Class of 2014), as well as a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree. This diverse academic background allows me to support students across STEM, business, and test preparation.

Since graduating, I have taught hundreds of online lessons, specializing in Mathematics (ranging from Algebra to Statistics and Calculus). In addition, I tutor Algebra, Linear Programming, Operations Management,...

Since graduating, I have taught hundreds of online lessons, specializing in Mathematics (ranging from Algebra to Statistics and Calculus). In addition, I tutor Algebra, Linear Programming, Operations Management, Finance, and SPSS (data analysis and interpretation). For students preparing for exams, I have helped with TEAS Math, SAT Math, ASVAB (Mathematics & Arithmetic Reasoning) and ACT Math, focusing on both problem-solving strategies and time management.

In addition to tutoring, I worked as a Substitute Teacher in Broward County, which gave me valuable classroom insight into different teaching approaches. I enjoy tutoring because it allows me to connect with students individually, give them step-by-step guidance, and help them build confidence while improving grades.

One of the more common difficult courses that I've seen are Quantitative Analysis (with a focus on Linear Programming and Quantitative Analysis) and Operations Management. AP Statistics I took the course during my senior year of high school back in 2010 and passed with an A. I also took and passed the AP Statistics Exam College-Level Statistics -> I have been tutoring mainly in Statistics since 2014 and the topics that I can definitely help with include but not limited to: normal distribution calculations (z-scores), sampling distributions, linear regression, hypothesis testing, confidence interval, Chi-Square Tests, and sometimes ANOVA and specific topics covered in Business Statistics -> I have helped several Statistics students that took the course using Pearson and am sufficient in Pearson's statistical software StatCrunch -> I utilize either hand-written work, the TI-83/TI-84 calculator, or Microsoft Excel when tutoring in Statistics

Although my background and experience is more emphasis on Mathematics, I believe that I can help students prepare for the TEAS Math Portion. The skills needed for the math portion include but are not limited to: translating phrases into equations and inequalities, identifying relationship between two variables, and converting percentages, decimals, and non-negative fractions. I believe that I possess this skills to help nursing students with the math portion.

Smart, patient, efficient, one of the best!

Shameer has been tutoring me through a Statistics class I'm taking, covering Hypothesis Testing and related topics. Like many of you, I've worked with multiple different tutors and they've all had varying degrees of pro's and con's to their methods of teaching. Shameer is by far one of the best tutors I've encountered. He's intelligent, well spoken and organized. His method of instruction is detailed, efficient, and well presented. He makes good use of WyzAnts tools so that I have legible notes on the material covered to review later. He's also communicative, attentive, and flexible on scheduling. All around excellent tutor!
