Approved Subjects

Biology

Biology

I have a strong academic background in biology and biochemistry, with a B.S. in Biology and an M.S. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of Florida. My graduate studies gave me extensive experience with topics including cell biology, genetics, molecular biology, biochemistry, and scientific research. I currently teach middle school science and have experience working with students with a wide range of learning styles and academic needs. I especially enjoy taking complicated biology concepts and breaking them down into clear, manageable pieces that students can actually understand. As a tutor, my goal is not just to help students complete an assignment or memorize information for a test. I want them to understand the “why” behind what they are learning, strengthen their study and problem-solving skills, and become more confident in biology.
Chemistry

Chemistry

I have a strong academic background in chemistry and the biological sciences, with a B.S. in Biology and an M.S. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of Florida. My undergraduate and graduate coursework included extensive study of general chemistry, organic chemistry, biochemistry, and other advanced science courses. I currently teach middle school science, including physical science concepts, and have experience helping students with a wide range of learning styles and academic needs. I enjoy breaking challenging chemistry topics into smaller, more manageable steps and helping students understand not only how to solve a problem, but why the solution works. I can help students with topics such as atomic structure, the periodic table, chemical bonding, chemical reactions, balancing equations, moles and stoichiometry, solutions, acids and bases, and other general chemistry concepts. I can also provide support with homework, test preparation, and developing stronger problem-solving and study skills. My goal is to make chemistry feel less intimidating and help students build the confidence and foundational understanding they need to succeed.
Debate

Debate

As an educator with a strong academic and research background, I have experience helping students develop the critical thinking, research, and communication skills that are essential for debate. I can help students learn how to analyze a topic from multiple perspectives, develop a clear position, find and evaluate evidence, and build logical, well-supported arguments. My teaching experience has also given me practice helping students organize their thoughts, explain their reasoning, and communicate their ideas more confidently. I can work with students on argument structure, research, rebuttals, identifying weaknesses in opposing arguments, and preparing for both classroom debates and presentations. My goal is to help students become stronger thinkers and communicators—not simply tell them what to argue. I want students to understand how to research a question, evaluate evidence, anticipate counterarguments, and confidently defend their ideas.
Earth Science

Earth Science

I hold a Master’s degree in Biochemistry and currently teach middle school Earth Science using a structured, standards-based curriculum. I design engaging lessons that help students understand topics such as weather systems, the rock cycle, plate tectonics, and Earth’s structure. My approach emphasizes conceptual clarity, visual learning, and real-world application. I help students build confidence in scientific reasoning, vocabulary, and test preparation.
Elementary (K-6th)

Elementary (K-6th)

I am an experienced educator with a background in teaching and tutoring students across a variety of grade levels and academic abilities. As a middle school science teacher, I work with students every day to strengthen skills in reading comprehension, writing, math, science, and critical thinking. I also have experience working one-on-one with elementary-aged students and adapting lessons to meet each student's individual learning needs. My goal is to help students build strong foundational skills while becoming more confident and independent learners.
Elementary Math

Elementary Math

I have tutored both at the high school and college level in chemistry and biology, which require a strong basis in Elementary math. I am a current middle and high school science teacher who relies on elementary math and beyond to understand how to do science. I have also tutored students in elementary and middle school math.
Elementary Science

Elementary Science

I am a middle school science teacher with experience teaching Earth Science, Life Science, Physical Science, and STEM. I have a strong academic background in Biology and Biochemistry, which allows me to explain scientific concepts clearly and accurately. I enjoy making science approachable for younger students through real-world examples and hands-on learning. My goal is to build curiosity, confidence, and a strong foundation in science that students can carry into middle school and beyond.
Needlework

Needlework

I first learned to knit and crochet through YouTube videos, lots of practice, and plenty of mistakes along the way! Over time, fiber arts became something I truly love, and I’ve even taught others how to knit and crochet. As a teacher, I enjoy breaking down new techniques into simple, manageable steps and helping beginners work through the frustrating parts. My goal is to make learning fiber arts fun, approachable, and something you can feel proud of.
Physical Science

Physical Science

I am a middle school Science and STEM teacher with a strong academic background in biology, chemistry, and the physical sciences. I have experience teaching physical science topics including forces and motion, energy, heat transfer, simple machines, electricity, and introductory chemistry. I enjoy breaking down challenging concepts using clear explanations, visuals, hands-on activities, and real-world examples. My goal is to help students understand the “why” behind physical science while building their confidence and problem-solving skills.
