I am currently a medical student (MD) at UT-Health in San Antonio. I love learning about the human body and clinical applications to improve people's lives. I have academic experience in a wide-variety of undergraduate and graduate coursework including: Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Physics, Algebra, Calculus, Psychology, Counseling, and many others.

Anatomy

I started medical school with an open-mind about the field but quickly realized that I found human anatomy to be far more fascinating than anything else I was learning. Even upon completion of our first-year anatomy course, I have continued to study on my own daily. I currently serve as a teaching assistant and tutor for the first-year Physician Assistant students' anatomy class because I simply enjoy learning and teaching it.
Genetics

Genetics

Genetics was my favorite undergraduate biology course, and I passed with an A. I have continued to reinforce the concepts I learned in preparation for the MCAT and in coursework as a medical student. As a future physician, understanding genetics is often a core component of understanding and treating illness so it is built into our multi-disciplinary coursework focused on individual organ systems.

From 2004 - 2010, I competed as an amateur boxer with USA Boxing. From 2006 - 2010, I was a member of the West Point Boxing Team; we were the NCBA National Champions in 2008, 2009, and 2010. As an Army Officer, I completed the Level I trainer certification for the Modern Army Combatives Program in 2014 and have sporadically trained at various BJJ and MMA facilities.

Soccer

I love youth soccer! I coached a YMCA boys and co-ed team for three seasons after my son (then 9 years old) decided he wanted to play. I had never played soccer before, but my own background as an intercollegiate athlete and Army officer helped me to quickly become a very effective coach and trainer. I completed the US Soccer Grassroots 7v7 Coaching Course and have tried or encountered many of the overwhelming training recommendations or programs and can help navigate both these and the immensely confusing landscape of competitive youth soccer.

Tony is extremely knowledgeable, patient, competent, and he is also prompt with communication and flexible with hours. We had a unique and challenging material, and he was not only accommodating with our tight deadline, he also prepared and reviewed the material beforehand so that he could teach all necessary material within the session. By far the best tutor we've come across :-)
