The love for physics and math came at an early age, as my father was a physicist, and has helped me to be able to explain the most complex of concepts with relative ease making them understandable to my students. I have been tutoring Physics and Math for over 12 years with great success. I have taught HONORS PHYSICS, AP PHYSICS 1 with algebra and AP PHYSICS C with calculus in the Broward County school district for several years with great success before escaping the germ factory and moving into being a full time tutor. I am certified to teach math as well.

My 1st goal for students is to make physics interesting and fun. If a student finds a subject interesting then a deeper understanding will likely follow. My second objective for students that I tutor, is for them to excel academically whether it be in high school or in college.

The students that I tutor have done excellent as well. I have tutored hundreds of students from High school to college and they have all developed not only a genuine interest in physics but excellent grades in their physics and math classes. (We always shoot for the A).

Teaching college physics in my AP courses to high school students allows me to make the lessons a bit more digestible since it is usually their first time taking physics. I have helped many college and grad students excel in their college courses as it was their first time taking physics. I find that most 1st year college physics courses are "weed out" courses that are packed with over 100 students. This makes it really hard for students to understand what is going on and they usually wait to seek help until they are panicked.

The best time to seek help in physics is when students first enter projectile motion. This is usually where the trouble starts and I cannot tell you how easy I can make this. Then comes forces and equilibrium problems which are also super easy to understand given a proper explanation.

STAY CALM!!! DON'T PANIC!!! HELP IS HERE.

Best Physics Tutor on this site (5 on AP exam)

John really helped me this year in AP Physics 1. I went into the year unsure as to how I would fare, but John helped me develop a thorough understanding of all topics. I got a 5 on the AP Exam, and it’s all thanks to John!! He explains concepts in a way that makes them very easy to understand, while also remaining relatable for the student. I highly recommend John!!

Very knowledgeable, encouraging and responsible tutor

My daughter is a 11th grader. John tutored her yesterday. John reviewed free fall and projectile motion with her by starting with the basic concept. After the class, she told me that she really likes John’s tutoring. Right after the tutoring, she is doing great in today’s test. We will definitely continue working with John. Thank you. John

Outstanding AP Physics 1 Tutor – Highly Recommend!

John is truly an amazing teacher. I found him just 10 days before my daughter’s AP Physics 1 exam, and he made an incredible difference in such a short time. He is not only knowledgeable and clear in his explanations, but also incredibly patient and encouraging throughout each session. What impressed me most was how quickly he identified the gap between my daughter’s physics honor class and the AP Physics 1 curriculum. He tailored his instruction to focus on those areas—especially fluid mechanics and rotational motion—and broke down complex concepts with helpful examples. He also showed her how to approach and tackle Free Response Questions (FRQs), which gave her more confidence heading into the exam. John went above and beyond—always available, even for late-night questions. His support was invaluable, and we’re so grateful we found him when we did. Highly recommend him to anyone looking for a dedicated and effective AP Physics tutor.

Effective and Efficient Tutor

John was absolutely amazing and tailored his teaching to my needs. We focused on center mass then did impulse and momentum. I feel I am prepared for this quiz and feel so much better about this unit!

OUTSTANDING!!!

When I learned my son needed a tutor I had actually three lined up and I had encouraged my son to try at least two and decide which one might be a better fit. John was up at bad first, and he was so unbelievably helpful. My son felt very at ease. He had shared that he was worried that he would look like an idiot when he said something stupid during a meeting. As it turns out even when he did say something that sounded silly John made a joke and help him get through it. He told me he learned a ton and absolutely had no interest in trying anybody else. There’s something magical when your kid can learn and has a good time all in the same sitting.
