ADHD

Certified for Exceptional Student Education in Florida. During my work with AEF Schools and as a Hebrew teacher, I have worked 1:1 or and as a classroom teacher, with children that have ADD /ADHD. As a certified ESE teacher, I am trained and have developed myself, strategies to help student with ADD/ADHD to get the most from their time with me.

Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)

My certification is in Exceptional Student Education in Florida. During my work at AEF, I had a classroom with students with mild and students medium Autism. The students with medium Autism were partially verbal but were not able to express themselves completely. It was a pleasure getting to know my students and learning to understand how they think so we can work on verbal communication using different techniques. Since each one of my students was unique, I enjoyed my 1:1 time with them. In addition, I have tutored students with Autism that could not attend a regular program and adjusted the curriculum for them.

Dyslexia

I am Certified for Exceptional Student Education in Florida. I have worked with students with Dyslexia and Dysgraphia as their teacher and also as a tutor. As the tutor/teacher, I have made accommodations, whether they were on an IEP or not, to ensure my students’ success with their work.

Elementary (K-6th)

Certified for Exceptional Student Education in Florida. I have passed the FTCE equivalent exams with ABCTE (that are harder then the FTCE) and have worked with elementary students of all grades.

Hebrew

Hebrew is my native language. I have been teaching Hebrew since 2004 at a parochial school. I have been tutoring Hebrew for many years.

Phonics

I have taught phonics using several different curriculums, including Reading Horizons, Hooked on Phonics, Fundations, and others.

Special Needs

I am certified for Exceptional Student Education in Florida. I worked with students with a variety of exceptionalities.

Study Skills

As an ESE facilitator, I worked with numerous students on executive skills and study skills, teaching them how to plan their study, making lists, chunking, and getting organized to name a few.
