Being well versed in computer technology, I have tutored online across the United States, as well as overseas to the Bahamas, and Japan, from south Florida. Also, worked with students competing in the First Lego League, helping in their understanding of the servo-motor, and programming of the central robotic processor.

Algebra 1,

Algebra 1

I tutor all high school math, including Algebra 1.
Algebra 2,

Algebra 2

I have taught / tutored continuously Algebra 2, including a class of home schoolers who opted for a teacher to help them. We completed the assigned Algebra 2 textbook, and literally decorated the room with their graphs that everyone of them contributed.
Calculus,

Calculus

I have taught high school physics and calculus.
Chemistry,

Chemistry

I have taught high school physics and calculus, and tutored chemistry, since it has some overlap with the subject of physics.
Geometry,

Geometry

I have taught / tutored continuously Geometry, including a home schooler who opted for a teacher to help her. We completed the assigned Geometry 2 textbook. Afterward, I received feedback from her mother, that she was very happy with her daughter's math grade that year.
Physics,

Physics

I have taught high school physics.
Prealgebra,

Prealgebra

I have been teaching and tutoring pre-algebra, as it provides the basic foundations for all high school math.
Precalculus,

Precalculus

I have taught / tutored continuously pre-calculus / trigonometry, including a workshop over a summer. Successfully had students receive good grades in this subject, as well given them confidence to explain their math to the entire class at the board.
SAT Math

SAT Math

I have been teaching / tutoring math for 12 years. This would include 8th grade math, algebra 1, geometry, algebra 2 and trigonometry. While trigonometry may not be included on the SAT exam, the critical thinking often used with this math subject, would definitely contribute to a better understanding of the more difficult SAT math word problems.

Trigonometry

Trigonometry

Trigonometry is a good, more rigorous math for upper level high school students, and excellent preparation for eventually taking calculus. I have both tutored continuously and taught a class in trigonometry. All math requires repetitive exercises, none more so than trigonometry! I have been able to increase students' confidence in class and grades on tests, also helping them to encourage each other to excel with this math.

Having appreciated all my education, always still remember the basic three R's, Reading, aRithmetic, and wRiting. I have taught GED with enthusiasm, since these three concepts are what it takes to secure a strong education foundation, such as what GED represents. =)

Patient and soft spoken

He's incredibly patient and willing to undertake any assignment I suggest. It's hard to imagine him getting overtly frustrated or angry during my lessons. I also like his suggestion for working at a university library, as its quiet, and has a wide variety of books as well as tools to use for my studies.

Thank You Mark

He was patient and took the time to explain difficult material to me, helping me prepare for an upcoming exam. I would definitely recommend his services to other students.

Mark is very knowledgeable, as a kind, easy demeanor, and was very clear and systematic. He knows his stuff! He was quick and easy to schedule with us too. Thanks Mark!

Great tutor and great with teens

My daughter initially was nervous as she is an extreme introvert. Her sister calmed her and told her that Mr. Mark is a great tutor. My daughter ended up feeling at ease and said she learned things that her teacher did not review. She also said that Mr. Mark has many ways of working out one problem. She liked that because it gave her options on what works better for her. He really is a great tutor!

So happy I found Mark for my GED!

I have currently had 3 tutor sessions with Mark, 2 in person and one online. I am 37 and studying for my math GED test (passed all other tests easily). Math has been challenging, getting the right help has been challenging. I was using study.com which is pretty flawed and then Youtubing videos for additional help. it would take me hours to get one formula down (the difficult ones). I am so happy I found him, I am already speeding a lot better I feel, he's helped me use the scientific calculator and write in the proper mathematic form. I will be working with him until I'm finally ready to pass the math GED test, there's no way I could learn algebra on my own! He's also fair with timing and honest with what is chat time and what's tutor time. I highly recommend him!

Very Flexible & Effective w/Teens

Mark came to help my student with his HS honors Math Course. He was able to review the problems from his previous tests and review his current material. My student says he actually understands his assignments now and feels confident going into his next text/quiz. That kind of break-though in just 90-minutes, was well worth the time and effort!

Great tutor!

Very knowledgeable and good at communicating. My son loves physics, but the classroom teaching was severely lacking. Then we found Mark! He was just what we needed to get back on track.
