Hello, I am currently a second-year medical student at Nova Southeastern University Dr. Kiran C. Patel College of Osteopathic Medicine. I earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with an emphasis in Behavioral and Cognitive Neuroscience and a minor in Health Disparities from the University of Florida. I also earned a Master of Science in Medical Physiology and Pharmacology from the University of Florida College of Medicine, where I completed rigorous, medical-school-level coursework in physiology, pharmacology, anatomy, immunology, microbiology, and related biomedical sciences. My educational background allows me to tutor students in biology, anatomy and physiology, pharmacology, psychology, neuroscience, and other pre-health sciences. I am happy to work with all levels of students.
My teaching experience includes mentoring and tutoring undergraduate students through the University of Florida and working with students in both individual and small-group settings. As a mentor, I worked with students over an extended period to help them navigate academics, develop effective study strategies, and build confidence in challenging coursework. I have also served in teaching and peer-support roles throughout medical school, where I help classmates understand complex concepts through active recall, practice questions, visual explanations, diagrams, and breaking difficult topics into manageable steps.
My approach to tutoring is individualized and focused on understanding rather than memorization alone. I first identify the student's learning style, current level of understanding, and specific areas of difficulty, then adapt lessons accordingly. I particularly enjoy helping students connect foundational concepts to clinical applications and developing practical study strategies that they can continue using independently.
