I earned my Master of Music in Jazz Voice from Manhattan School of Music in 2026 and my Bachelor of Music in Studio Jazz Vocal Performance from the University of Miami Frost School of Music in 2024 with a minor in Computer Science. My undergraduate and graduate education included an extensive study of music theory, harmony, ear training, arranging, general musicianship, and jazz singing.

As a graduate student at Manhattan School of Music, I worked as an online freelance music theory tutor to undergraduate students taking required music theory courses. My students were studying a variety of music-related fields, such as musical theater, and I helped them with topics such as music notation, scales, intervals, chords, melodic/rhythmic dictation, harmonic analysis, and many other foundational theory concepts. My lessons were one-on-one with students via Zoom and I adapted lessons based on their coursework, assignments, and previous exams they provided me.

Before that, my last years at the University of Miami were spent working as a Computer Science tutor through the University of Miami Camner Center for Academic Resources. I tutored underclassmen enrolled in Introduction to Programming (ECE 118), Computer Programming (CSC120), and Computer Programming II (CSC220), all courses I had previously completed myself. I worked with approximately 25 different students, many of whom met with me regularly throughout the semesters. My approach was to work through specific concepts relevant to their own assignments and classroom lectures.

My goal as a tutor is to help my students fully understand the musical concepts presented to them so that they can apply these concepts on their own in their future coursework and as musicians. Having recently completed both an undergraduate and graduate music degree, I understand what is demanded of conservatory students. My combination of subject knowledge, tutoring experience, and my adaptable teaching approach allows me to support my students effectively.

I earned a Master of Music in Jazz Voice from Manhattan School of Music and a Bachelor of Music in Studio Jazz Vocal Performance from the University of Miami Frost School of Music. My time both as and undergraduate and graduate student in conservatory included extensive study of music theory, ear training, and overall musicianship. As a graduate student at Manhattan School of Music, I worked as an online freelance music theory tutor who helped undergraduate students enrolled in music theory courses with topics such as notation, scales, intervals, chords, harmonic analysis, melodic / rhythmic dictation, and many other concepts. I have worked with many different students with a variety of experience and have adapted lessons to their coursework, lectures, and previous exams. My goal as a tutor is to help students understand the underlying musical concepts presented to them so that they can apply them independently and successfully.
