I am Silvia! My approach to teaching Spanish blends conversation and cultural context to build confidence and fluency. Above all, I aim to create a supportive, motivating environment that inspires each student to enjoy the process of learning and practicing Spanish and to use it confidently in real-world situations.

As a native Spanish speaker and experienced educator, I bring both academic depth and practical expertise to my tutoring approach. I hold multiple advanced degrees, including a Master of Science in Library and Information Studies and a Bachelor’s and License in Library and Information Sciences. I also earned a Bachelor’s Degree and Master’s level studies in Education. My educational background has given me a strong foundation in linguistics, research, and pedagogy, which I apply directly to my Spanish teaching practice.

I have taught courses related to the Paleography of Spanish, developing a deep appreciation for the history, grammar, and evolution of the Spanish language. Over the years, I have continued to teach both in academic environments and through individualized tutoring, helping students of diverse ages and backgrounds—from beginners learning conversational Spanish to professionals seeking to improve their communication in medical and academic contexts.

In my sessions, I emphasize cultural understanding, clear pronunciation, and practical vocabulary tailored to each student’s goals.
