Hello and welcome! My name is Shana, and I am a psychology student at the University of Florida with an Associate of Arts degree and a deep passion for helping students grow in confidence and creativity. My academic background in psychology allows me to understand how people learn, process information, and build confidence — especially when they feel nervous or unsure about a subject. I specialize in working with children and beginners who may feel intimidated by speaking English or expressing themselves through art. My goal is always to create a safe, encouraging environment where students feel supported, not judged. Learning should feel empowering and exciting, not stressful.
Having traveled to over 12 countries and lived in France, I’ve developed a strong appreciation for different cultures, communication styles, and learning needs. I teach English through conversation, music, and real-world practice so students gain practical speaking skills while building natural confidence. In art, I focus on creativity over perfection, helping students develop drawing skills through imagination, technique, and guided practice. I have completed commissioned charcoal and color portraits, including detailed animal portraits, and I bring that same patience and artistic discipline into every lesson. Whether your goal is to improve conversational English, help your child gain confidence, or develop artistic ability step by step, I tailor each session to the individual student’s pace and personality.
My teaching style is warm, structured, and motivating. I believe progress happens when students feel comfortable asking questions and taking risks. Together, we will build real skills, strong communication, and creative confidence turning learning into something you genuinely look forward to.
