Hi everyone, my name is Jen, and I am a writing consultant (tutor) at NSU, where I help students with their writing and presentations. I have a degree in Communication and a minor in Paralegal Studies. With my degree, I have learned how to communicate effectively with others, whether in a business/professional setting or at a casual event.
I have worked as a writing consultant for four years and have worked with several professors in the classroom. I specialize in one-on-one appointments that focus on sentence structure, phrasing, brainstorming, and resume development. My goal is to provide support and assurance to those who are less confident in their work/themselves.
Ever since high school, I have become involved in several different fields, including aviation, theatre (specifically writing playwrights), business, teaching/tutoring, law, public relations, accounting, and healthcare administration. At 15, I became a student pilot and was taking college-level courses while also playing varsity sports (soccer, cross country, and lacrosse). Because of this, I understand the stress of not understanding or feeling confident about an assignment or subject and can provide effective tools and tips for completing any assignment.
