Throughout my ten years of teaching experience in Pre-K through 3rd grade, I’ve had the opportunity to work closely with many students diagnosed with ADHD. This has allowed me to develop a deep understanding of how to effectively support their unique learning needs in both public and private school settings. I specialize in creating structured, engaging, and flexible learning environments that help students with ADHD stay focused, organized, and motivated. I incorporate movement, hands-on activities, and clear routines into my daily instruction, while using strategies like chunking tasks, visual supports, and positive reinforcement to promote self-regulation and sustained attention. My literacy background also helps me tailor reading and writing instruction in ways that are accessible and empowering for these learners. Whether working one-on-one or managing a full classroom, I approach students with ADHD with patience, creativity, and a strength-based mindset—recognizing their potential and helping them thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

Common Core

Over the course of my teaching career, I have developed a strong expertise in implementing Common Core State Standards across all core subject areas in the early elementary grades. My experience teaching Pre-K through 3rd grade in both public and private school settings has given me a solid understanding of how to align instruction with Common Core expectations while maintaining developmentally appropriate practices for young learners. I consistently design and deliver lessons that emphasize critical thinking, problem-solving, and foundational literacy and math skills, as outlined in the Common Core standards. I’m skilled at unpacking the standards to create clear learning targets and using formative assessments to guide instruction and differentiate based on student needs.

Elementary (K-6th)

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and a Master’s degree in Literacy, and I am a certified educator in the state of Florida. I have over ten years of experience teaching students in Pre-K through 3rd grade, across both public and private school settings. Throughout my career, I’ve taught all core elementary subject areas. Currently, I teach for Broward County Public Schools.
