Pre-health student seeking to help fellow students!

Hello! My name is Mario, and I am a pre-health student currently studying for a BS in Biology and BA in Chemistry! I achieved an AA in Biology with highest honors last year. I believe I have a unique perspective in studying, as I took an eight year break after graduating high school in my home country of Venezuela, and resumed my studies here in the US after spending months capturing and learning the science of successful, efficient learning.

Due to this, I believe I am capable of instilling successful study techniques to anyone who I tutor, as these methods have led me to achieving highest honors throughout my academic career. I do not possess a formal tutoring background, but I have helped many of my peers study in multiple subjects including algebra, biology, and chemistry. I believe I have an ability to explain and break down difficult concepts into simpler terms, as I have been told this by some of my peers.

As a tutor, I would prioritize true comprehension of subjects rather than simple memorization, as I have found that the best way to achieve academic success is to master and fully grasp the subject at hand. Beyond that, I will instill my students with efficient, evidence-based methods for studying such as active recall and spaced repetition. These elements paired with a thorough comprehension of the necessary concepts, leads to simple, effective, and complete mastery of whatever subject is required.
