Hello, future doctors! I’m here to guide you through one of the most critical milestones in your medical journey for Step 1 preparation. With a passion for teaching and a proven track record, I am dedicated to making your study process efficient, approachable, and effective. Together, we’ll tackle challenging concepts, sharpen test-taking strategies, and build the confidence you need to succeed. I hold a degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry and certifications in Advanced and Basic Life Support (ALS/BLS). My clinical rotations have strengthened my ability to connect foundational science with patient care, allowing me to explain complex medical concepts clearly and practically. Excelling in these rotations also helped me integrate basic sciences with clinical relevance, preparing students for Step 1 and beyond.
I began teaching with one-on-one Step 1 tutoring, helping students grasp difficult topics and achieve success. Over the past two years, I’ve expanded to group sessions, working with over 16 students while continuing private tutoring. My methods include mnemonics, custom questions, and practical examples to make high-yield topics memorable. I also share high-yield facts to reinforce learning between sessions and make myself available to address questions, ensuring students feel supported every step of the way.
I tailor my approach to individual learning styles, emphasizing understanding over rote memorization. Using trusted resources like UWorld, AMBOSS, and NBME exams, I equip students with strategies and tools to excel. Passing Step 1 on my first attempt and maintaining a steadily improving GPA reflect my mastery of the material and ability to guide others.
With a strong academic foundation, clinical experience, and dedication to teaching, I aim to foster clarity, confidence, and long-term retention. It would be an honor to help you achieve success on Step 1 and in your medical career.
