Hello! My name is Yekaterina! I was born and raised in Soviet Union, where I studied piano since I was 5 years old. I graduated from a 7-year program Music school with honors, and got admitted to Semey College of Fine Arts, from which I graduated with a BACHELOR’s degree in PIANO PERFORMANCE, and a minor in PEDAGOGY. Hello! My name is Yekaterina! I was born and raised in Soviet Union, where I studied piano since I was 5 years old. I graduated from a 7-year program Music school with honors, and got admitted to Semey College of Fine Arts, from which I graduated with a BACHELOR’s degree in PIANO PERFORMANCE, and a minor in PEDAGOGY. I continued my education by taking classes in the university of Cape Town, South Africa, under the guidance of a renown British pianist Graham Fitch, and most recently studying Jazz piano and improvisation under the guidance of Jose Gonzalez in Costa Rica. To enhance further my pedagogy skills, I undertook Psychology courses, and got a professional diploma in CHILD PSYCHOLOGY. In the past I won several piano competitions, and in present time I am an active performing pianist, with regular concert appearances and ongoing artistic projects, combining my pianist career with my passion for teaching.

I have been teaching for over 20 years, and I love sharing my knowledge with my students. I consider myself an EXPERT IN ONLINE TEACHING. I have a professionally set up studio with 2 cameras for online lessons. I teach all ages and levels, and I adjust to individual needs of every student. I can help you with learning how to read music, proper posture and hand position, music theory and harmony, piano performance, piano technique, improvisation, composing, practicing skills, structuring your practice, etc. I am equally comfortable teaching classes in English, Spanish and Russian, and I have extensive experience teaching special needs children.

My name is Yekaterina. I am a polyglot, a multi-lingual performing pianist, and an international educator. I've been teaching Spanish, English and Russian to adults and children for more than 20 years. In addition to extensive education in languages (Over 520 hours of linguistic studies completed), I constantly learn and expand my knowledge, my biggest fascination being ancient languages :) I speak and write fluently in English, Spanish and Russian, and I also speak some Portuguese, Italian and French. I had to learn languages (including English, Spanish, Russian, Portuguese, French, Italian, Hebrew, Japanese and Mandarin Chinese) from the ground up, just like my students, so I understand very well the challenges of learning a language. I have structured a specific approach that incorporates tricks and shortcuts for faster language learning. Little things you can do to bring the language into your everyday life... these little things accumulate and make the whole experience of learning a language much easier and more natural. I consider myself a language specialist, as I have vast experience not only teaching, but also learning many languages. My forte is in advanced Russian language, and Russian literature, but I am happy to teach beginners students as well. I use materials from St. Petersburg's (Russia) university, designed specifically for foreign student for accelerated approach to learning Russian. I've been teaching Russian, Spanish, and English to adults and children for more than 20 years. In addition to extensive education in languages (Over 520 hours of linguistic studies completed), I have a Bachelors Degree in pedagogy and I hold a Child Psychology Professional Diploma. Great teacher, very patient and encouraging!

My 10-year-old son had an amazing piano lesson with Yekaterina! She was welcoming and made the lesson feel fun and engaging right from the start. She did an excellent job of breaking down the basics in a way that was easy to understand, while keeping my child excited and motivated. She was patient, encouraging, and took the time to ensure my child felt comfortable. After just one lesson, I can already see a boost in confidence and interest in learning more.
