I am an active Florida municipal law-enforcement officer, Field Training Officer, acting supervisor, and part-time police academy instructor with an M.S. in Law Enforcement and Public Safety Leadership. I also hold a Florida CJSTC General Instructor Certification and am a Blue to Gold Certified Search & Seizure Instructor.

Since 2024, I have taught law-enforcement academy students in Interviewing & Report Writing, DUI Traffic Stops, and legal topics as assigned. I also develop scenario exercises, case-law discussions, report-writing activities, knowledge checks, and individualized feedback for adult learners.

My tutoring focuses on understanding and application rather than memorization. I help students identify the controlling rule, work through the relevant facts, explain why the rule applies, and articulate a clear conclusion. Depending on the subject, we may use hypotheticals, scenario questions, case-law analysis, report-writing exercises, or targeted review.

I can assist with criminal justice coursework, Florida law-enforcement academy preparation, SOCE conceptual preparation, criminal law and procedure, Fourth Amendment/search and seizure, reasonable suspicion, probable cause, interviewing, report writing, legal articulation, and criminal justice academic writing.

I previously worked as a university writing specialist, providing both online and in-person academic coaching. My goal is for students to leave each session able to explain and apply the material independently. I do not provide legal advice or protected exam questions.

Approved Subjects

Criminal Justice

Criminal Justice

I hold an M.S. in Law Enforcement and Public Safety Leadership and have approximately seven years of municipal law-enforcement experience. I currently serve as a police officer, Field Training Officer, acting supervisor, and part-time police academy instructor. My academy teaching includes Interviewing & Report Writing, DUI Traffic Stops, and legal instruction as assigned. I regularly develop scenario exercises, case-law discussions, report-writing activities, knowledge checks, and individualized remediation for adult learners. I can tutor college criminal justice students as well as law-enforcement academy students who need help connecting academic concepts to practical application.
Law

Law

My law tutoring focuses specifically on constitutional criminal procedure and the legal principles that govern law-enforcement activity. I am a Blue to Gold Certified Search & Seizure Instructor and a Florida-certified criminal-justice instructor. I teach and coach students and officers on Fourth Amendment concepts including reasonable suspicion, probable cause, detention and arrest authority, consent searches, exigent circumstances, search scope, and legal articulation. My approach uses fact patterns and guided analysis to help students identify the governing rule and apply it logically. I am not an attorney and do not provide legal advice; this tutoring is educational and focused on academic and professional learning.
Writing

Writing

I teach Interviewing & Report Writing in a Florida law-enforcement academy and previously worked for approximately three years as a university writing specialist. I have taught and coached students on organization, clarity, reasoning, revision, source use, grammar, and effective written communication in both online and face-to-face settings. In law enforcement, I also train officers and recruits to document facts clearly, distinguish observation from conclusion, explain their reasoning, and articulate lawful actions in reports. I can assist criminal-justice students with academic papers as well as academy students working on clear, organized, fact-based report writing.
