My name is Elizabeth but everybody calls me Libby. I have a Master’s degree in education and Bachelor’s degree in elementary education and I taught for 12 years with experience in K - 8th grade. I having been tutoring outside the classroom for 20+ years in person and on-line.
When I am not teaching, I enjoy being outside in nature. For two years my husband and I traveled around in a camper van exploring the country. I have visited all 50 states!

What a find Libby has been!
I have enlisted Libby with the challenge of getting my son more confident with writing, reading and processing text. He's a sharp boy and his teachers love having him as a student BUT his school has not done a sufficient job with their ELA program and he has never been a fan of reading. Libby has a good lesson structure and she definitely knows what she's doing. We have used Wyzant for years and the tutors are very hit or miss. I'm really excited for my son because these skills are essential and especially important for him to have a better grasp of before he enters a highly competitive high school program. We have a goal of working together through this academic year and summer so that he is entering 8th grade in tip top academic shape.

Great elementary school tutor
I highly recommend Libby. Libby has been working with my 12 year old grandson for over 2 months. My grandson was struggling with 6th grade math. Since working weekly with Libby his confidence has grown and his grades have improved. He and Libby developed an instant connection and he looked forward to their sessions. We plan to have Libby work with him again next year if he needs help. Meeting at the local library after school was a big plus during this pandemic.

Patient, organized, and great with my kiddo!
Elizabeth is working with my 11yo to help replace his reading/writing IEP during Covid because of virtual school. She's highly knowledgeable, organized, and patient with him. She has prepared lessons that have helped him develop skills with phonics, writing, and reading strategies. She's done such a great job that we increased our sessions from once to twice a week, so she can help us meet his writing goals. Would highly recommend.
