I’m a professional TV writer and story developer who’s written for Netflix, Nickelodeon, Sesame Workshop, NBC, and more, with over 15 years of experience helping writers find their voice and strengthen their stories. I earned my Bachelor’s in Sociology from Middle Tennessee State University and my Master’s in Dramatic Writing from NYU, where I focused on television writing and playwriting. Since graduating, I’ve taught one-on-one playwriting sessions at the MCC Theater in New York City, a professional theater lab where high school students developed original plays that were showcased in an Off-Broadway theater. I also led a script and story development workshop at Middle Tennessee State University, where I worked with college students to strengthen their scripts through structure, character, and theme.
Through my work in the TV industry, I’ve been in the writers’ chair myself, so I know how exciting (and absolutely intimidating) it can be to build a story from scratch. That experience helps me guide students through the same process of building a story with confidence and care and ensures I bring that real-world experience to every lesson.
