Since I've been very young, my interests have leaned toward math and science. Numbers, Rubik's cubes, mazes, puzzles, and anything with gears and moving parts fascinate me. As an elementary student in the Volusia County School District, my scores in math on the Stanford 9 and FCAT exams consistently placed me in the top of my class. As a high school graduate in the State of Pennsylvania, I continued to place in the highest levels in math on the annual PSSA exams. Now, as a Mathematics major at Stetson University in DeLand, Florida, I have continued to focus my efforts on my academics, and I thoroughly enjoy tutoring my classmates who are struggling with their math classes.

Currently, I see myself completing my Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics in 2017 and continuing further to pursue a Master's Degree and a Doctorate Degree in Mathematics. Ultimately, my intentions are to become a Professor of Mathematics at a major university.

I've tutored many students over the years. I've tutored both just once in a while and on a regular basis for a student. The last student I tutored just this summer said that after about a week of tutoring, his test grade improved 20% from the first test. Many students prefer my tutoring style because I'm more relaxed and joke around to lighten the mood. I don't think it's very effective to have a completely serious tutoring session because I know from personal experience that students usually just zone out when teachers or tutors don't make the lesson enjoyable. I am 19 and remember clearly how boring lessons could be if the teachers and students didn't interact and I adjust my tutoring accordingly.
