I am a drum and percussion instructor with over a decade of experience in drum set, concert percussion, jazz, rock, and ensemble performance. I graduated from Interlochen Arts Academy and later earned both my Bachelor’s degree in Modern Artist Development & Entrepreneurship and my Master’s degree in Live Entertainment Management from the University of Miami Frost School of Music. Throughout middle and high school, I competed and performed at a high level in concert band, jazz band, and rock ensembles, giving me firsthand experience with auditions, competitions, solo performance, and ensemble musicianship. In addition to teaching, I am an active performer and have toured nationally as a drummer. These experiences have given me a strong understanding of the technical, musical, and performance skills needed to succeed as a musician. I tailor lessons to each student's goals and experience level. Whether you are a beginner, preparing for an audition, working toward a competition, joining a school ensemble, or looking to improve your drum set skills, I focus on building strong fundamentals while keeping lessons engaging and enjoyable. Areas of instruction include drum set technique, concert percussion, rhythm and timing, sight-reading, music theory, coordination, improvisation, and performance preparation. My goal is to help students become confident, versatile musicians while creating a positive and encouraging environment that makes learning enjoyable.
