Hi. my name is Alison and I'm a certified English teacher. I got my degree from FAU in 2015, and immediately got hired as an arts journalist for Broward County after being chosen from a very skilled review panel. Shortly after that, I got hired by American Heritage School to teach 8th grade English.

I write novels, too, and recently one of my novels got the attention of a pretty big agent, so I've been pretty busy with revisions. Unfortunately, I had to temporarily leave the field of education, to pursue my dream of being an author. I work as a copywriter now during the day. I miss teaching, and I really miss my students, which is why I would love to tutor you. Teaching and learning are such big passions of mine, and I would love to take you on an exciting learning journey.

I'm a published writer with five years of experience, so I teach from the standpoint of a writer. I blend this with my teaching degree, teaching all learning styles and ages.

If writing isn't really your thing, or you feel a knot in the pit of your stomach in English class, never fear! A lot of my students would feel that way in the beginning of the school year, and by winter break they were writing with ease!
