I am a third-year osteopathic medical student at Nova Southeastern University with a B.S. in Applied Physiology and Kinesiology from the University of Florida. My undergraduate and medical education has given me a strong foundation in anatomy, physiology, biology, microbiology, and other health sciences. My undergraduate coursework included Kinetic Anatomy and Gross Anatomy, and I have continued to build on this foundation through medical school and clinical training.
I have several years of teaching and mentoring experience with both undergraduate and medical students. As an Honors Gross Anatomy Fellow, I facilitated weekly small-group instruction for first-year medical students, helping reinforce challenging anatomical concepts and prepare students for exams. I also served as a teaching assistant for an undergraduate microbiology laboratory at the University of Florida, where I taught laboratory techniques, safety, and data analysis, and as a teaching assistant for an Emergency Medical Responder course, where I led weekly small-group, scenario-based sessions covering patient assessment, vital signs, airway management, CPR, shock, trauma, and major organ systems.
My approach to tutoring is to make complex material approachable by breaking it into manageable concepts and emphasizing understanding rather than memorization alone. I adapt my explanations to each student's learning style and use questions, clinical examples, diagrams, and active recall to identify gaps in understanding and strengthen long-term retention. I especially enjoy working with undergraduate, pre-health, and medical students who want to build both confidence and a deeper understanding of the material.
