I have instructed and created courses at the college and graduate school level for more than 30 years and have published two course textbooks on law and related subject matters. I am particularly deft as a course instructor and have high ratings on Rate My Professor regarding my abilities to connect with students and assist them in learning difficult material.
STUDENT COMMENT ON ACADEMIC ASSISTANCE STYLE:
I believe students need more time in reading and understanding case law and hypothetical essay question practice to do well in legally based courses. Students who are not willing to prepare for tutoring, and instructional sessions will not achieve the results they desire when we work together in attempting to meet their goal of learning the material, AND possessing and applicable understanding on how to see the law from the point of view of the inquirer (A College Professor).
I am highly rated on Rate My Professor, for instructional attention to detail, and time spent with students in helping them to actually "pick up and play" with material which leads to high level understanding of legal concepts and thus ease in applying that acquired knowledge to presented essay questions and legal writing problems with which they are presented following our work together. I am not a student placator, and do not work well with students who are not willing to place time and effort into working with the material BEFORE our work together.
