Hello! My name is Daniela, and I am a Bioengineering student at Stanford University with a passion for helping students build confidence and achieve their academic goals. I have worked with students from elementary school through high school in one-on-one and small-group settings. I have experience supporting students in Elementary Math, Elementary Science, Reading, Writing, Grammar, Vocabulary, Phonics, Prealgebra, Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Geometry, Precalculus, Calculus, Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Physics, Physical Science, Psychology, English, Spanish, Java, JavaScript, and standardized test preparation. I also assist students with Essay Writing, Personal Statements, and academic writing.

My tutoring approach is individualized because every student learns differently. I identify each student's strengths and areas for growth, then create a personalized plan for success. I help students build confidence by simplifying challenging concepts, strengthening problem-solving skills, and developing effective study habits.

I also specialize in SAT and PSAT preparation, including SAT Math, SAT Reading, and SAT Writing. Having earned a 1570 SAT score (790 Math, 780 Reading and Writing) and a perfect 1520 PSAT score, I understand the strategies required to excel. I help students improve pacing, identify common question patterns, strengthen reading comprehension, and develop efficient test-taking skills.

I also work with students on college admissions essays, personal statements, and application strategy. Through my own admissions process, I was accepted to Stanford, Harvard, Yale, Columbia, Brown, Duke, Johns Hopkins, Northwestern, Vanderbilt (full-tuition merit scholarship), UC Berkeley, UCLA, UF Honors, and the University of Miami with a full cost-of-attendance merit scholarship.

My goal is to create a supportive environment where students build confidence, develop strong academic skills, and achieve meaningful results.

Elementary (K-6th)

I have worked with elementary-aged students every summer, providing academic support and mentoring for students in grades K-5. Through this experience, I have helped students strengthen foundational skills in math, reading comprehension, science, problem-solving, and study habits while adapting lessons to each child's individual learning style and pace. As a Stanford student, I bring a strong academic background and specialize in breaking down concepts into clear, age-appropriate steps that younger learners can easily understand. My teaching approach is patient, encouraging, and interactive, with an emphasis on building confidence alongside academic skills. My goal is to create a positive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, develop strong study habits, and become more independent learners over time.

Outstanding Algebra 2 Tutor – patient, encouraging, extremely effective

Daniela has been an incredible Algebra 2 tutor for my child! Before working with her, my child often felt overwhelmed by new concepts and struggled to fully understand the material being taught in class. Daniela has a unique ability to break down difficult topics into simple, manageable steps, making even the most challenging problems feel approachable. What stands out most is her teaching style. She is patient, encouraging, and takes the time to ensure my child truly understands the "why" behind each step rather than simply memorizing formulas or procedures. She creates a comfortable learning environment where my child feels confident asking questions without feeling rushed or intimidated. Since beginning sessions with Daniela, I have seen a tremendous improvement not only in my child's understanding of Algebra 2 but also in their confidence and overall attitude toward math. Test and quiz scores have improved significantly, and my child now approaches assignments with much more independence and less frustration. Daniela is organized, professional, and genuinely invested in her students' success. She tailors each lesson to my child's specific needs and consistently reinforces effective problem-solving strategies that can be applied beyond a single assignment or exam. I highly recommend Daniela to any parent looking for a knowledgeable, supportive, and effective math tutor. Her ability to make complex concepts easy to understand has made a tremendous difference, and we are extremely grateful for her help.
