I transitioned to design engineer and then project engineer while I was there. I transferred to Oak Ridge National Laboratory in Tennessee and became a senior project engineer.
After a 22 year engineering career, I moved to Florida and changed careers. I started as a tutor for the ROTC program at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. The following semester I became a chemistry professor at Daytona State College. I went on to teach chemistry as an adjunct professor at Embry-Riddle and taught Physics, Circuits, Chemistry Laboratory and Physical Science at Daytona State College for 18 years.
I enjoyed chemistry laboratory the most as a professor, as most of the lab period I circulated around the lab and could interact one on one with the students and help them with their homework.
I have retired as a full time professor and am looking for part time work as a tutor where I can enjoy one on one interactions.
