Hello! I am a passionate, native Spanish educator and a published author with 15 books. Over the last 20 years, I have had the wonderful privilege of teaching college students not just the Spanish language, but also academic writing, creative writing, and critical thinking. I hold a professional K-12 teaching certification from the Florida Department of Education, along with three Master’s degrees in Humanistic Studies, Education, and Language and Literature. These credentials reflect my lifelong love for learning, which is exactly what I strive to share with every student I meet.
My approach to tutoring goes far beyond traditional memorization. In our online sessions, I tailor my teaching to each student's unique academic goals. Whether they need to boost their grades, prepare for college entrance requirements, or excel in demanding standardized tests like the AP Spanish Language or AP Spanish Literature exams, I provide them with the strategic tools and analytical skills they need to succeed. Because of my background in writing and grammar, I specialize in making complex linguistic structures simple and easy to understand.
However, my deepest goal as an educator is not just to help students pass a test or improve their grades. I want them to truly fall in love with the knowledge of another culture. Language is a gateway to understanding the world. Through our conversations, readings, and collaborative analysis, I love transmitting the beautiful values, history, and warmth of the Hispanic culture. I want my students to value this language, feel confident speaking it, and ultimately become empathetic, well-rounded citizens of the Spanish-speaking world.
Please note: To properly manage my academic and school schedule, I maintain a strict 36-hour cancellation policy for all scheduled online lessons. I look forward to meeting you and your child and helping them build lasting confidence and fluency in Spanish!
