I am a physician with an MD and a Master's in Medical Education, and years of experience in tutoring medical and nursing students. I started tutoring other students when I was in medical school, and I have continued in some capacity ever since. I work with students online or in person, individually and in small groups. I have also met the requirements for my pending promotion to Associate Fellowship in the Higher Education Association.
My teaching experience covers Anatomy, Physiology, Pathophysiology, Medicine, Surgery, and almost any subject you might encounter in medical or nursing school. I have tutored students in nursing school, medical school, and several other allied health specialties; in the classroom, online, and at the bedside. Each session is tailored to your course requirements and focused on maximizing your grade. I prioritize making complex concepts simple, then helping you put it all together so that you understand the bigger picture.
To allow you to concentrate without getting distracted by the clock, I charge a flat, negotiable rate per session, not by the hour, and I don't quit until you understand everything we set out to learn. If in a group, we don't move on from a topic until everyone understands it.
What sets me apart from other tutors? I have taken my teaching skills to the next level, devoting myself to medical education as a specialty, and developing the latest techniques in educational psychology and pattern recognition to help you climb the learning curve, faster and more easily. I know that my junior colleagues have a lot of ground to cover in only a short time, and my ongoing research is focused on helping them make the most of it.
Why is my rate so low? My goal is not to get rich from tutoring; it is to help you become a doctor or nurse with whom I would be confident entrusting my family to your care, because one day, I might have to do just that. And that's something that money can't buy. Let's help you reach that standard. We'll get you there, together!
