I have over five years experience in social work and child welfare, including adoptions, foster family support, and dependency case management. I am a Certified Child Welfare Case Manager. I have over three years experience in addictions counseling and crisis counseling. I am a Registered Clinical Social Worker Intern pursuing licensure as an LCSW with currently over 2,000 hours of experience in psychotherapy (ages 4 - adult). I have a Master's degree in Clinical Social Work from FSU and will earn a second bachelor's in Dietetics (minor in Child Development) from FSU this Fall 2024. I also plan to pursue licensure as a Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist.
As a former highschool teacher, currently master's level therapist and mom of three, my teaching style would be described as patient, knowledgeable and adaptable to my student's unique temperament/learning style. I have experience in working with clients that have ADHD as well. In addition to my academic and professional background, I am a certified personal trainer, certified health coach, certified group fitness instructor and a nutrition fitness specialist. I have successfully completed courses in graduate level social work and counseling as well as undergraduate courses in microbiology, metabolism, nutrition, general chemistry and organic chemistry. I have over three years experience teaching online as well as in a classroom (ages 14 - adult).
