I have Bachelor of Arts degree with Foreign Studies from a college in Japan. Taught English when I lived in Japan. Currently I live in USA (17 years now), worked at local public school as TA and substitute teacher for 7 years. As for Japanese teaching, I have been teaching a group of local people since 2019. and before that, I tutored several people for a year.

In the first lesson Yuka and I discussed which goals would be best for my needs. This was a follow up to what I had shared with Yuka via email prior to the first lesson. We decided learning to read and speak Japanese was a good goal based upon my needs.. Throughout the first lesson Yuka was very encouraging, patient, and positive. I feel working with Yuka will help me reach my goals and have fun while learning.
