Elementary educator with a passion for individualized learning

Hi there! My name is Jasmine and I love teaching students who want to learn! I graduated from Lesley University with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education in 2015. I am currently working on my MEd at Southern New Hampshire University for Curriculum and Instruction with a track in Special Education. I am currently a 5th grade Language Arts teacher in Pinellas County Schools in Florida. Three years prior to my first year in 5th grade, I was working as a 7th grade Paraprofessional in New Hampshire.

I have tutored for a wide range of ages, from elementary aged students through high school. I am delighted to work with all kinds of students and enjoy seeing them succeed. I help my students understand the material, get organized, and improve their grades. I believe that each student learns differently and I will work to understand what my student needs in order to be successful. I pride myself on my ability to make the curriculum accessible for all students. I do not think learning is a one size fits all process and my job is to make sure my students are understanding the concepts in a way that makes sense to them.

I truly have a passion for learning and for making sure that all students succeed. I want to instill a life long love of learning in each student so that they are successful in any direction they go. I have high expectations for my students and hold them accountable for what I know they are capable of. I want learning to be fun and effective by giving the individualized support that each student needs and deserves.
