In this age of on-line teaching, I help students achieve competency and a delightful sense of satisfaction in the reading comprehension and writing experiences they enjoy after working with me. Not only have I been a classroom teacher, but I have also enjoyed years as a public speaker and an English-as-a-Second Language Teacher. I find great satisfaction working one-on-one with young learners--and motivating them to love the written word as I do.
I am a mother, youthful grandmother and joyful reader. I sail, swim, run and play with my dog. Importantly, I read and write all the time. My favorite reading areas are history and exciting fiction. I have traveled the world and can talk to you and your student about many exciting American and foreign locales. I love to learn from my students too.

I have taught reading, writing and English and American Literature. I am certified to tutor and mentor, as well as teach English as a Second Language (which I've been doing for several years now). I have also been a certified American History classroom teacher. My three university degrees are from Georgia State University, Tufts University and Rutgers University.
