I have worked with students ages K-21 for over 30 years in private and public schools, working with students with Autism, Emotional/behavorial challenges, specific learning disabilities and developmental delay. I have taught at separate special education schools, in self-contained classrooms and have pushed into general education classes, or have pulled students out for small group work.
I use ABA techniques in my teaching (First work, then break!). I am trained in Touch Math which addresses numeral comprehension through division skills. I am trained in Wilson and Orton-Gillingham reading methods. I employ whichever techniques/programs/methodologies work best with individual students.
