Hi there! I'm Kiarra! I first would like to say thanks for checking out my profile. I love to teach. I have been teaching for about 8 years professionally, but I've tutored for over 16 years. My passion is teaching. I have a BA degree in Graphic Design, and a MA degree in Advertising, and I'm currently in Graduate school for my Doctorate degree in Education. My passion is teaching. I have a BA degree in Graphic Design, and a MA degree in Advertising, and I'm currently in Graduate school for my Doctorate degree in Education. My number one goal is to help my students succeed. I love when students have that "aha!" moment, and everything just seems to click, and they simply get it!

I have the ability to teach all ages and disabilities and several subjects. I am currently a professor at a college for students with disabilities. So I understand everything from anxiety, depression, bipolar, and schizophrenia to dyslexia, colorblindness, and more. My youngest student was five years old. I taught her about her shapes, numbers, colors, and the alphabet. My oldest student ever was about 68, and he just simply wanted to brush up on his math! I'm a patient and kind tutor that will take the time to explain the concept in a way that will make it "click" for you or your child too!

The subjects I'm able to teach include Html, Css, Javascript, Python, and Swift, as far as coding languages go, and then I'm also really good at Math! I can teach Elementary & Middle no problem. As far as High School and College, I feel most comfortable with Pre-algebra, Algebra 1 & 2, and some Geometry. My teaching methods cater to all learning styles, from kinesthetic, to audio and visual learners. To help keep everyone engaged at all times, I frequently will utilize all three within a given lesson. I prefer one-on-one virtual meetings, however, I am available for multiple group sessions as well.

I am currently in school to obtain my Doctoral degree in Educational Leadership with an expected graduation date of 2026. I have been tutoring since 2010, and I own my own tutoring company where I have helped several students of all ages (K-6 included) in everything from Math, English, and Language Arts to Reading and Writing (and more!) I was a 2nd-grade teacher for one year and a kindergarten teacher for one year. I have experience working with small/young children, making them understand a subject and making it "click." I also currently work as a professor at a local college that specializes in admitting students with disabilities. So if your child has a learning disability such as dyslexia, dysgraphia, ADHD, or anything else, I have experience.
