Does your child have difficulty with decoding or comprehending what they read? I have many years of experience working with young children and older teens who have characteristics of Dyslexia (difficulty reading and decoding) and Hyperlexia (comprehending what is read). I have over 10 years of experience as a Special Education teacher working with children from grades K-12. I have a Master of Science degree in Education, and I am certified in multiple states to teach.

When working with your child I will use a specific specialized instructional program to support reading and comprehension challenges. Children who have reading challenges often have difficulty grasping the rules of reading which often results in less interest in school. It is important for students who struggles with reading and comprehension receive instruction specifically tailored to their needs. I have worked with students in a small group in a classroom setting as well as in a one-on-one setting. The results have always exceeded parent expectations.
