Bio

Alan began studying piano under the tutelage of his grandmother and by age 14 was performing piano concerts. As a teenager he continued to study with a international concert pianist and eventually attended St. Petersburg College where he earned an Associate's Degree in Music. Alan completed his Bachelor of Music degree with a piano performance emphasis from the Moody Bible Institute in December of 2007. While at Moody, he studied under Dr. Gary Rownd. Alan began studying piano under the tutelage of his grandmother and by age 14 was performing piano concerts. As a teenager he continued to study with a international concert pianist and eventually attended St. Petersburg College where he earned an Associate's Degree in Music. Alan completed his Bachelor of Music degree with a piano performance emphasis from the Moody Bible Institute in December of 2007. While at Moody, he studied under Dr. Gary Rownd. During his last year of study in Chicago, he performed Tchaikovsky's 1st piano concerto with a couple Chicagoland orchestras. During his time at Moody, he was welcomed to play at several conferences, one being Founders Week, an event that is broadcast all over the world through the radio and internet.In the last 20 years Alan has performed numerous concerts in 45 states and in 20 countries. He has performed numerous concerts in known concert halls, conferences, theaters, sacred events, jazz clubs, restaurants, and hotels. He has also collaborated with a number of various ensembles and singers to accompany them. He performed for 10 years full time in a duo piano act with pianist Scott Griffin. Alan accompanied known gospel singer, Larry Ford around the world for over 10 years. Alan played with the local early jazz ensemble the Jazz Phools. He was the musical director at Tarpon Methodist Church in Tarpon Springs, Florida.
Alan spoke and performed at Tourette Syndrome conferences in the United States and Canada. In addition to performing live, he spends much of his time arranging and composing. He has much experience in Classical, Jazz, and Sacred styles. He also does much charity work with the non profit mission missionGO. Alan has taught piano to many students over the last 20 years from ages 4 to 70. He looks forward to working with you and exploring your technique and creative goals no matter what age or level you are find yourself exploring. It is also never too late to learn.
