Hi, my name is Fatma. I was raised in Kuwait and finished my bachelor's degree at Kuwait university. I majored in Arabic language arts and minored in phonetics. I have taken diverse amounts of courses in art, radio casting, marketing, etc...). I started to work as a teacher in a center for non-native Arabic speakers and taught adult students who had just moved to Kuwait. In 2007 I moved to California to work at a private school teaching elementary and middle school students Arabic as a second language. I developed and personalized curriculums based on each student's needs, level, and learning style. I have 4 kids and my second child has down syndrome with apraxia speech. I focused on him and how to support his needs. I took a lot of classes in Kuwait and California about teaching special need reading with a lot of different program methods. These programs include talkies, visualize and verbalize.
